About us

Studio

A small studio in Veliko Tarnovo that works calmly and consistently. Four people, over five hundred project files, and a habit of returning to our completed buildings years later to see what has stood the test of time.

Philosophy

We do not believe that good architecture is achieved through bold gestures. Rather — through a precisely read brief and budget, a clear plan, proportions that do not interfere with daily life inside, and materials that age well.

We work mostly with "grounded" buildings — the ones that need to last fifty years, not look good only in their renders. This means spending more time on details and on the choice of construction systems, rather than chasing an unusual silhouette.

We try to ensure that each project leaves the place it lands in at least as good as we found it. Preferably — a bit better.

Principles

Four things we will not compromise on.

These are not marketing statements — they are the decisions we make every day and the standards you can hold us accountable to.

01

Budget as input, not output

We talk about budget at the first meeting. Better to honestly say "this cannot be done for this money" than to end up with half a building.

02

The project is not complete at the permit

Every one of our projects includes design supervision through to occupancy. Half of the important decisions happen on site — and we are there.

03

Renovation, not reinvention

When working with an existing building, we always start with "what do we keep?", not "what do we demolish?" — often half the structure is sound and saves both time and budget.

04

The documentation is the product

Architecture is transmitted through documentation — drawings, details, specifications, explanatory notes. We invest disproportionately more time in making it clean and unambiguous. All our documentation is produced with licensed professional software.

Process

Five steps from the first call to the keys.

We have a clear process that lets us work on several projects in parallel without losing focus. Here is what a typical collaboration looks like.

01
Introduction
Free meeting on site or at the office. We discuss goals, budget, and timeline. This is where we decide if we are a good fit.
02
Initial data
Geodetic survey, geotechnical report, design-permit brief, survey of any existing building on the plot.
03
Concept design
Concept, volumetric and spatial resolution, 3D visualisations, technical-economic indicators. Strategic decisions are made together at this stage.
04
Technical documentation
Technical and working design across all parts. Coordination with institutions and building permit.
05
Construction and completion
On-site design supervision, decisions during the build, official certificates. At the end — as-built documentation.

The team

Four people who work on every project.

We are deliberately a small studio. Which means the person who takes your enquiry is also the person who draws your detail and visits the site.

External specialists we work with regularly

We work with an established network of engineering and specialist designers — structural, water & sewerage, HVAC, electrical, fire safety, vertical planning, geodesy, geology. These are not teams assembled for each new project, but long-term collaborations that allow us to deliver predictable timelines and consistent quality.

Would you like to meet?

The first meeting is no-obligation. Usually 30–45 minutes — enough to understand the brief and see if we are the right fit.
